NPA Awards Ceremony

Hilton Manchester Deansgate is one of our favourite venues for mid-size events in Manchester. We love working there so when the National Pawnbrokers Association asked us to help them produce a conference and awards dinner there, we were really excited!

The brief was to produce a really slick, professional event but to incorporate some more fun and creativity into the evening awards.

The daytime conference was held in two sections of the main ballroom – Deansgate 1 & Deansgate 2. We provided a large red set with central rear projection screen as a backdrop to the stage. The set was lit using our new Chauvet LED battens and the NPA logos were attached left and right of the screen and highlighted using subtle lighting.

The large central projection screen was supplemented by additional 42″ plasma screens around the room and the video system was controlled from on of our new Analog Way seamless switchers. We supplied a number of lapel (tie clip) microphones, handheld (“roving”) microphones as well as a lectern and microphones across the top table.

For the evening event, we provided a moving light system for the band and awards comprising Martin Mac250 Entours.

At the same time as the daytime conference, we provided power distribution for 20 exhibition stands located in Deansgate 3 and the foyer outside.

Despite the 24 hours that our team spent on site, we are already looking forward to working on the event again next year!
