Greatest Story Ever Told

Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is one of our favourite venues for events in Liverpool. We’ve worked on all sorts of events there from worship events to corporate presentations but October’s production of “The Greatest Story Ever Told” by In Another Place was the first piece of theatre that we have looked after at the Cathedral.

Over three nights, In Another Place’s Greatest Story Ever Told explored different bible stories using giant props and video recordings with the aim of bringing the bible alive for today’s teenager.

With a heavy reliance on video content, it was essential that the projected images were bright and clear so we supplied a 6500 lumen Sanyo XP100 projector which filled the 14′ screen perfectly.

In terms of lighting, we were so lucky to have the amazing architecture of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral all around us so we made use of that as our backdrop and provided high power LED lighting to wash the arches and pillars in colour.

With the action taking place all around the space (around 500 square metres!) we had to get creative with our lighting positions to make sure that everything could be seen by every audience member. Using plenty of the latest moving lighting and lots of LED fixtures we were able to create a huge number of different looks and feels for different scenes and make sure everything was lit beautifully!
