Concert at Christmas
Liverpool UK based Stagetex recently supplied sound, lighting and staging for “Concert at Christmas” – a concert performed by Sanctified Gospel Choir at Frontline Church in Wavertree, Liverpool.
Director, Peter Van Neste worked with a crew of volunteers from the church to deliver a great looking show using the venue’s own audio visual equipment supplemented with additional equipment from the Stagetex hire stock.
The main front of house PA system comprised Frontline’s own Kling & Freitag CA1515 tops combined with pairs of Kling & Freitag SW118 Subs. The system was controlled using a Yamaha LS9-32 digital mixing console with a pair of Focusrite Octopres providing an additional 16 channels of inputs. With monitors being mixed from FOH and the system being processed within the desk, the LS9 was being pushed to its limits in terms of busses and processing.
Monitoring was provided by a combination of the venue’s Sennheiser G3 IEM systems and Ohm TRS wedges whilst Stagetex provided Kling & Freitag CA106s on stands to provide vocal monitoring for the 30 strong choir.
In terms of lighting, Stagetex supplemented the lighting system in the venue with 24 Chauvet ColorDash LED fixtures, 4 Martin Mac250s and a Chamsys PC Wing for control.
The end result was a stunning sounding concert which looked very different to the normal weekly services!
