Christchurch Fundraiser

The Savoy Hotel London played host to 300 guests attending a fundraiser in aid of the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. With performances from Neil Finn of Crowded House and Zane Lowe Stagetex were on hand to look after sound, lighting and video.

A 7 strong team of technicians installed the lighting, sound and video equipment required for the event which included a mixture of live music, presentations and a charity auction.

The lighting system comprised 12 Chauvet Batten 72 on vertically mounted trusses across the back of the stage. 6 Robe Robin LED 600 Washes were mounted on the top of each truss. Source 4 Juniors were provided for front light with Chauvet Colorado 1 Tours being used for uplight.

The video system comprised 4 50″ plasma screens mounted at head height which displayed a range of PowerPoint and video inputs for the presentations and auction.

The sound system was used for a range of presentations and live performances. Neil Finn (front man of Crowded House) performed an acoustic set whilst Zane Lowe (Radio 1 DJ) played into the early hours of the morning. The sound system comprised a range of Kling & Freitag loudspeakers for front-of-house and monitor duties and was controlled entirely from a Yamaha LS9-32.

For the first time, Stagetex provided a Litestructures Liteconsole for the DJ equipment which included three Pioneer CDJ2000s and a DJM2000.
