On 22nd and 23rd July 2010, Stagetex supplied over 100 lighting fixtures, a large scale sound system for Chiltern School of Dance and Drama’s production at the Empire Theatre, Liverpool. Having attended rehearsals and preproduction meetings the team delivered and installed a sizeable amount of equipment within an extremely tight time frame of just 4 hours.

The lighting system included Martin Mac moving heads and a range of ETC and Thomas generic lighting fixtures were run from an Avolites Pearl Expert. The design has to be suitable for a wide range of performance styles from modern to ballet and from magicians to solo singers.

The sound system was carefully designed to ensure even coverage throughout the venue and included front fills and stage monitoring to achieve this. All loudspeakers were Kling & Freitag with Crown and Lab Gruppen amplification. The system was controlled by a Yamaha LS9-32 with Sennheiser 5000 series wireless equipment and a QLab system for audio playback.
