Food & Drink Awards

The Liverpool Food & Drink Awards were held at the old A-Foundation building in Liverpool City Centre and was managed by agency SK Events.

Stagetex provided production and audio visual support for the event which included the stage, set, lighting and sound systems as well as atmospheric lighting & a large moving projection of the event logo in the reception area.

Stagetex has provided audio visual support for many events for SK Events and this is the second year that the company has been appointed to provide AV equipment and technicians for the Liverpool Food & Drink Awards.

Stagetex worked with SK Events to design the theming in the room which saw an empty warehouse transformed into a Kath Kidston inspired picnicing environment. Through the use of props (including the hire of 14 real trees!) and creative lighting, the space was transformed in under 10 hours. Evening entertainment was from The Christians for which Stagetex provided a sound system and additional lighting equipment.

Stagetex founding director Peter Van Neste said: “This year’s brief enabled us to increase our level of creative input into the design, creating a memorable event that represented the restaurants, cafe’s and bars of Liverpool in the best possible light.”

• Stage set with rear projection screen
• Sanyo XP100 6500 lumen projector with short throw lens
• 16 LED battens for set wash
• 27 LED Uplighters (Chauvet COLORado 1 & COLORado 2)
• ETC Source 4 Juniors for frontlight
• 5 Martin Mac250 Entour moving head lights (one used for gobo projection in reception area)
• Kling & Fretiag PA system with monitors and LS9-32
• QLab running on a MacBook for award sting playback
